Developing a
Logical Model for a Geo-spatial Right of Way Land Management System
This web page is
for NCHRP 8-55A panel members and other State Transportation Agencies that are
interested in providing feedback on the logical model being developed for a
geospatially-enabled enterprise-level information management system for
Right-of-Way activities.
As of Jan 7, 2009, three files are
available for your download and review.

The logical model includes the draft logical model for the overall business of a state transportation Right-of-Way office, explicitly
including:
Appraisal, Acquisition, Relocation,
and Property Management
Because this is a generalized
model, only the activities that are defined by FHWA in the Program Development Guide
are modeled in detail. Activities that are highly dependent on state and
local laws and policies are identified, but not defined. Processes that
benefit from geospatial enablement are identified and will be expanded as the
model is developed.
This
version includes sequence diagrams for the entire model.

Although these files have been reviewed,
they have not been thoroughly checked for consistency and accuracy. We
