Center for Family Services

The Center for Family Services, our on-site clinic, has two missions: education and service. To fulfill our first mission - education - we are dedicated to training top-notch marriage and family therapists. About 20 therapist interns a year receive training at the Center. Students who train at the center receive close supervision from faculty members and other well-qualified professionals from the community. A supervisor is always present when students see clients to assure clients get quality care and students get a quality educational experience. Our second mission - service - means providing low-cost, quality mental health services to Northern Virginia couples, families and individuals.

About Our Services

Services

The Center for Family Services provides individual, couple, and family therapy for clients with a range of concerns. Children, adolescents, and adults are all treated at our facility. We do not provide evaluations or psychiatric services.

About Our Program

Our therapy clinic is part of the Virginia Tech Marriage and Family Therapy program which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education. Therapist interns work closely with a team of supervisors comprised of faculty and staff members and qualified professionals in the community.

The Center for Family Services has provided services to the Northern Virginia community for more than 10 years and students trained at the Center are consistently in high demand for employment at local agencies.
