Julia Sayre

 

Julia Sayre is the Associate Clinic Director of Virginia Tech's Center for Family Services and offers clinical supervision and instruction to MFT interns. Prior work includes human factors and clinical research, human resources and business development, a varied background providing a wealth of experience on which to draw in making her transition to the mental health field.  Ms. Sayre has worked both in private and therapeutic in-home practice settings, with a special interest in at-risk children and adolescents and their families. Her research interests have included the application of attachment theory in adult relationships and mental health factors in the families of juvenile offenders.  In addition to her work at Virginia Tech, Ms. Sayre is a licensed MFT with a private practice in Northern Virginia.
