Housing
Virginia Tech in the National Capital Region does not have on campus housing. Several thousand apartment units are advertised daily in the Washington D.C. area.
It is recommended that you check the classified ad listings in the local newspapers, i.e. Washington Post, the Journal, and the Baltimore Sun. Also, check the free real estate apartment guides that appear in local area businesses.
Some apartment complexes are within walking distance of the Northern Virginia Center, some are located near Metro stations, and some are a short driving distance away in Fairfax or Arlington. A list of Hotels and Apartments are on hand at the Graduate Student Services Office, located at:

Establishing Local Services / Utilities
If you rent an apartment off campus, your landlord or leasing office should provide you with a list of local utility companies that service your apartment.
