Master of Urban and Regional Planning Application Requirements
A complete application for admission consists of:
- A completed application form. Applying online will expedite the processing of your application. http://www.applyweb.com/apply/vtg/indexa.html
- Two official and up-to-date copies of all transcripts of the applicant's undergraduate and graduate record (One set of transcripts MUST be sent directly from the institution to the Graduate School in Blacksburg).
- Three letters of recommendation, preferably from former professors and/or supervisors;
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores and TOEFL scores (if applicable). Virginia Tech’s code is #005859. The Graduate School requires official test scores sent directly from ETS.
- A $45.00 non-refundable application fee. All credentials submitted in support of an application become the property of the university.
Deadlines:
All application materials must be received by the appropriate deadline in order for your application to be considered. Though the Alexandria Center accepts applications on a rolling basis, please be aware the process can take 6 to 8 weeks. University deadlines for applications are as follows:
Fall: June 30
Spring: December 1
