Faculty in Urban Affairs and Planning are nationally recognized for their work in such fields as growth management, metropolitan development patterns, real estate development, housing, urban design, community and economic development, innovation and entrepreneurship, brownfields and vacant property development, environmental policy, and land use planning.
The Alexandria program engages local, state and national practitioners as adjunct instructors.
The faculty participates regularly in activities of the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
