Myriam Lechuga

Administrative and Graduate Coordinator

Myriam LechugaMyriam Lechuga is the Administrative and Graduate Coordinator for the Urban Affairs and Planning and Government and International Affairs programs at Virginia Tech’s Alexandria Center. She has an M.A. in Arts Management from American University and a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech, Ms. Lechuga was a Senior Program Specialist at George Washington University’s Center for Professional Development.

For almost a decade she worked for the American Society of Travel Agents, an international travel trade association, as Manager of the ASTA Foundation. Ms. Lechuga has also worked for several off-campus university programs in the DC Metro Area, including graduate programs with the University of Southern California, University of Denver, and Florida Institute of Technology. A volunteer with the Smithsonian Institution for 16 years, she is currently a docent at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and an Information Specialist at the National Museum of the American Indian. A U.S. citizen, Ms. Lechuga was born in Havana, Cuba.
