Center for European Studies and Architecture (CESA)
The university’s European campus center and base for operations and support of its programs in the region. The center’s location in Ticino, the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland, is also close to major northern Italian cities such as Milan.

Center for Public Administration and Policy
Promotes the common good of our constitutional republic and the advance of public service by providing outstanding education, research, and outreach in the theory and practice of public administration, management, and policy.

Community Design Assistance Center
The Community Design Assistance Center assists communities, neighborhood groups, and non-profit organizations in improving the natural and built environments through design, planning, policy, and research. Through the integration of the learning and working environments, the Center will execute projects that link instruction and research and share its knowledge base with the general public.

Institute for Community Health
The Institute provides technical assistance and information to communities and organizations to help them better respond to the health needs of their citizens, and to foster research on community health issues.

Metropolitan Institute at Virginia Tech
Conducts basic and applied research on national and international regional development, focusing on key forces shaping metropolitan growth such as demographics, environment, technology, design, transportation, and governance.

Virginia Center for Housing Research
An interdisciplinary study, research, and information resource on housing for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
