Email Lists

Virginia Tech primarily uses Google Groups for sending out broadcast emails.  Each group has a homepage where students can manage their subscription and view the archive of previous messages.

All students in the DC Area are added to the group ncr_students, which is used for the weekly newsletter, weather-related closings, academic dates/deadlines, and other important announcements.

There are also opt-in email lists for different subsets of the DC Area.  You can sign up for any of these lists using the links below.

Graduate Student Assembly in the DC Area (DC-GSA)

The DC-GSA is dedicated to advocate for graduate students’ concerns and to serve as their liaison with the University Administration. Every year the GSA governing body works to improve campus life, scholarly development, and graduate community by organizing academic, professional, and social events.  You can reach the GSA by email.
